What is an AI Agent?​

An AI agent is the intelligent interviewer that:

  • Conducts conversations with experts
  • Follows your question structure
  • Asks follow-up questions
  • Maintains conversation flow
  • Handles various expert responses

Agent Types​

Full Interview Agent​

For comprehensive, in-depth interviews:

  • Longer conversations
  • Deep exploration of topics
  • Multiple question areas
  • Detailed follow-ups

Vetting Interview Agent​

For quick qualification interviews:

  • Shorter, focused conversations
  • Specific qualification criteria
  • Targeted questions
  • Rapid assessment

How Agents Work​

When you create a custom agent, InsightAgent automatically creates two versions:

  • Phone version - Optimized for phone-based conversations
  • Web version - Optimized for browser-based voice chat

Both versions share your configuration (name, prompt, language) but are deployed separately to handle each platform's requirements.

Default vs Custom Agents​

Default Agent​

Every account includes system default agents that work out of the box for both Full Interview and Vetting Interview types.

Custom Agents​

Create tailored agents for specific use cases:

  • Industry-specific language
  • Custom question flows
  • Specialized follow-up logic
  • Brand voice and tone
  • Multiple language support

Agent Selection​

When creating an interview:

  1. The interview uses your account's default agent for that interview type
  2. You can select a different agent if you have custom agents
  3. The correct platform version (Phone/Web) is used automatically based on how the expert joins
