How to run interviews effectively with InsightAgent.

Starting an Interview

Phone Interview

  1. Navigate to the interview

  2. Ensure the expert's phone number is correct

  3. Click Dial

  4. Wait for the expert to answer

  5. The AI agent will begin the conversation

Web Interview

  1. Navigate to the interview

  2. Copy the interview link

  3. Send to the expert via email or message

  4. Wait for them to join

  5. The interview begins when they connect

During the Interview

Live Transcript

Watch the conversation unfold in real-time:

  • Speaker identification (AI vs Expert)

  • Timestamped entries

  • Automatic punctuation and formatting

Monitoring Tools

Control
Action

Mute

Temporarily mute your monitoring

Interrupt

Inject a message to the AI

End

Terminate the interview

AI Agent Behavior

The AI agent will:

  • Follow your configured question flow

  • Ask clarifying follow-ups

  • Keep the conversation on track

  • Politely wrap up when complete

Handling Issues

Expert Doesn't Answer (Phone)

  • Wait for voicemail or try again

  • Interview status returns to SCHEDULED

  • You can redial later

Connection Issues (Web)

  • Expert can refresh their browser

  • Provide the link again if needed

  • Check their microphone permissions

Need to Stop Early

  • Click End Interview

  • Choose whether to save partial transcript

  • The expert is politely disconnected

Post-Interview

After the interview completes:

  1. Full transcript is available immediately

  2. Review for accuracy

  3. Export or share as needed

  4. Archive when done
